Paperboard Boxes |

Paperboard box includes two classifications: folding paperboard boxes and set up paperboard boxes. The folding paperboard box is made of glued paperboard and is shipped to the user as a flat structure ready to be folded. The box then is easily erected and filled. It can be erected and filled by hand or in some instances by machine. Examples are cosmetic paperboard boxes, pharmaceutical paperboard boxes, food paperboard boxes, toy paperboard boxes, and hardware paperboard boxes. The list includes any and all products that are put into a box designed for retail units with graphics that appeal to the prospective buyers. Paperboard boxes can be made of tan bending chip, solid bleached sulfate, solid unbleached sulfate, clay coated new back, and clay coated with grease resistant material. When laminated with a polyethylene plastic paperboard boxes can be used to store frozen products. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Folding paperboard boxes usually have one of three basic structure types; the tuck top and bottom, reverse tuck or straight tuck. Straight tuck paperboard boxes are also referred to as straight-line boxes as the glue flaps consist of a straight line. The tuck top auto bottom paperboard box, regular auto bottom or hardware bottom, and trays, usually come with four corner lids with bottom, or six corner lids attached. |

Set up paperboard boxes, are usually but not only found in a jewelry store. The set up box usually consists of two pieces, a lid and a bottom. These boxes are often wrapped in printed-paper and often have elaborate and inventive interiors that might include felt finishing. Set up paperboard boxes ship erect, not folded. Sometimes you can stack set up boxes but even us the best of circumstances they are more costly to transport than a folded paperboard box. |
